Our Focus
Our focus is on creating elegant, timeless sandals that stay relevant with every season, challenging the fast fashion market that relies on passing trends.
We build upon what is already good, instead of stimulating overconsumption and the need for consumers to reinvent themselves every few months.
Timeless
Slaye was born out of a desire to create timeless pieces, combining simplicity in design and authentic Italian craftsmanship.
Minimalistic
Our minimalistic design allows for consumers’ own personality to shine through. We create relevant collections that provide people with the comfort and confidence they need to express their personal style.
Production
Slaye is an artisan brand; our sandals are handmade in Southern Italy. The production consists of five steps: purchase of the cowhide leather at natural state, creation of a model, manual immersion in vegetable dyes, manual finishing using small brushes, and drying in open air.
Materials
Slaye uses mostly genuine leather in its natural color which is later immersed in vegetable dyes.
Vegan
We are working on expanding our collection to include a vegan range of sandals made from a combination of fruit waste and synthetic components.
Physically, these sandals will look like our genuine leather sandals, but they will be free from any animal-derived components.
More than three years of research has already gone into the development of this new range in order to provide the best possible quality.
